No, 5Aside is completely free to download and use! You can create or join a team, set up matches, and manage your games without any subscription fees.
If your team uses in-app payments to split match costs, each player pays their share securely through the app. A small platform fee is applied to cover payment processing and to help keep 5Aside running smoothly, but this is automatically factored into the amount you see when paying.
Example: If your admin sets the match cost at £50 for 10 players, your individual share (including fees) will be slightly higher than £5. The admin receives the total match funds after fees, so they don’t have to chase payments manually.
This way, the costs are fairly shared, and your admin isn’t left out of pocket!
