  • Match & Payment Info: Match details, team admin payments (via Stripe).
  • Device & Usage Data: Basic analytics (e.g., login activity) to improve our app.
  • Location (Optional): If enabled, we use location only to find nearby games.

We do NOT collect:

  • Private messages
  • Sensitive financial details (handled by Stripe)
  • Biometric data

2. How Is Your Data Used?

We use your data for:

  • Creating & managing your profile
  • Matchmaking & team organization
  • Processing payments for match fees
  • Sending push notifications (e.g., last-minute player requests)
  • Authenticating analytics with venue providers

3. Who Do We Share Data With?

We never sell your data. However, we securely share limited, anonymized data with trusted partners to improve 5Aside’s functionality and the experience for all players.

This includes:

  • Stripe – To securely process match fee payments.
  • Firebase – For user authentication and account management.
  • Google Analytics – To analyze app performance and improve user experience.
  • Official Venue Providers – To help confirm 5Aside bookings at partnered venues.
  • 5Aside Venue Companion App – We share anonymous usage data (e.g., game frequency, peak hours, popular match sizes) with official venue providers to help them better understand facility usage and improve local football experiences.

We NEVER share personal data such as names, emails, payment details, or private messages with venue providers—only general, aggregated insights that support the growth of grassroots football.

4. Your Privacy Rights

You can:

  • View & edit your data (via profile settings)
  • Request account deletion (contact support)
  • Opt out of marketing emails

We store data only as long as necessary and delete inactive accounts after 12 months.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies to:

  • Improve app performance & security.
  • Track bug reports & crashes.

  • Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
  • Stripe handles all payment security—we never store card details.
